Healthcare
Are you interested in big data and how to use it to improve the healthcare industry? Then read on, because then we are looking for you!
Nedap Healthcare has a digital solution called the Ons suite which supports healthcare professionals in elderly care, disability care and mental health care. With Ons, these professionals can, among other things, view client files, arrange their schedule, and take care of billing. An important part of the Ons suite are a set of mobile applications that support these specific care processes. The diversity of end users using these mobile apps is enormous. For example, district nurses, doctors and home help are just a few examples. Each have their own work processes, wishes and requirements.
A question on our minds is: how can we better align the apps with our end users in terms of functionality and information? And how can we use our data logs for that? In this graduation project, we ask you to draw up profiles for the various end-user groups. What typifies them? Which functionalities do they mainly use on mobile? And in what order?
Tasks and responsibilities involved in this graduation assignment are:
- Identifying the different user groups, based on big data;
- Profiling these user groups, through qualitative research (e.g. focus groups);
- Developing possible personalization strategies.
Your team
You will work closely together with two teams within Nedap Healthcare: the Data Science team and the Mobile team. These are international teams where the spoken language is English. You will come into contact with many different cultures which ensures an inspiring working culture.
Our motto is "working together for better care," where we work together to make the lives of healthcare professionals, caregivers and clients as good as possible. We believe in the power of cooperation; we appreciate every initiative or good idea and we encourage participation!
Our offer
As a graduate student at Nedap, you can work both remotely and at our cool campus in Groenlo. Of course, you will do this in consultation with your team and what the possibilities are depends a bit on your activities, but the choice is yours.
You also get plenty of room to "take the lead" in your assignment. Personal leadership and taking personal responsibility are central and as far as we are concerned, that also applies to students! You will work with enthusiastic professionals who have a lot of knowledge, experience and expertise and from whom you can learn a lot.
To thank you for your efforts, every six months we organize a 'Nedap Studentday' especially for you. A super fun day with all the other interns, graduates and working students at Nedap.
We also offer you a neat monthly internship or graduation allowance. For a full-time internship or graduation assignment, you'll receive between €325 and €650 per month. And if both parties like it, we may even offer you a job. Many students have already stayed on after their assignment!
Required experience and skills
For this graduation project we are looking for someone who wants to combine his/her data analysis skills with design skills. We also ask you to do qualitative research, in which you will be supported. Furthermore, thanks to your strong verbal and written communication skills, you are able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and user groups. Experience with the medical sector is not a requirement, an interest in it is.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:
- An HBO/WO study in the direction of health sciences, medical information science, information, or any other study in which data science is an important part;
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages;
- You are creative. You enjoy looking at a problem from multiple angles and are not afraid to deviate from the beaten path.
