Graduation Assignment Data Analysis & Sustainability

  • Location Groenlo
  • Business unit Livestock Management

Are you an enthusiastic student with a passion for sustainability and experience with Data Analysis? Then the market group Livestock Management is looking for you!

For this graduation project you will try to find out how our technology promotes animal health and thus contributes to a more efficient and sustainable operation. Promoting animal health leads to higher production per cow and therefore lower emissions per liter of milk produced. In addition, better animal health goes hand in hand with higher animal welfare. You will visit farms to see how our technology works and dive into our farmers' data to make connections and draw conclusions. We will use your conclusions as the basis for setting sustainability goals.

You will get a lot of freedom to organize your work your way, but will also be well supported by an account manager and data analyst. The objective is to use data to substantiate the extent to which our technology promotes animal health. Your input for this is of great value, because we will use it as a starting point from which we will formulate sustainability ambitions.

Your team

You will work mainly with the data science team, who will help you on your way with the analyses you will be doing. From the sales team you will receive guidance to gain insight into the market. Your findings will be put into practice immediately!

Our offer

You will have access to a large set of cow data. You can decide for yourself which analyses you will release on this data and what you will focus on. This assignment therefore comes with a lot of independence and responsibility. In addition, you will go 'on the farm' to experience our technology in practice. You will receive a monthly internship allowance and are welcome at the 'Nedap Student Day' that is organized every six months. This will bring you into contact with interns, graduates and working students from other market groups within Nedap.

Required experience and skills

We are looking for an enthusiastic student who recognizes himself in the following points:

  • You have experience with data analysis in Python and / or R;
  • You have analytical skills and are critical;
  • You are proficient in both Dutch and English;
  • Knowledge of animal husbandry is required.
