Evert Wonnink @ Nedap Security Management

Hello, I’m Evert. I’m a Software Developer and I’ve worked at Nedap since 1986.

What does no one know about you?

I’m really into motorbikes. And for the past 10 years, I’ve been going on trips with my sons through beautiful touring areas in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Spain. Unfortunately, this year’s planned trip to Scotland didn’t take place because of the travel restrictions. But let’s see what 2021 brings.

What’s your role within Nedap?

I’m a back-end developer and write lots of integrations for third parties. We work in four software teams. Three contain at least one person from all developer disciplines: front-ender, back-ender and tester. The fourth (embedded) team writes the software for network devices. We apply Scrum to all teams and every three months or so, each team gives a demo on what they’ve been busy developing.

What’s your code?

I started programming in Assembler then Turbo Pascal, C, Unify VISION 4GL, Gupta/Centura SQLWindows. Currently I’m programming in Java and C#.

What attracted you to Nedap?

Development. It never stops. And you can develop in all sorts of areas, both personal and business. Here too, INNOVATION is written in capital letters. It’s a very inspiring company in which you can flourish.

Nedap ambitions?

I don’t even have to think about it. There’s no doubt that Nedap will keep giving me enough challenges and innovation to make sure I will still enjoy my work well into the future.
