Sustainability is deeply embedded in our identity and values. It’s not just a requirement; it’s a reflection of our commitment to making decisions that are beneficial for both people and the planet. This responsibility does not fall on one team or individual – it is a collective duty shared by all of us at Nedap.
Focus areas
We can have a greater positive impact when we focus our efforts. Therefore, we have identified sustainability topics that are material to us. This has resulted in four focus areas.
We aim for a culture of leadership, personal growth, and equality, with a firm commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the health and safety of all Nedappers.
We aim to minimise and, where possible, eliminate the negative environmental impact of our operations. We want to reduce the carbon emissions of our business operations and reach net zero by 2030.
We minimise the negative environmental impact across our entire value chain, from reducing our products' life cycle impact to enhancing their circularity.
We aim to integrate sustainability into the strategic ambitions of all our propositions and to enhance the sustainability of our customers’ business models through them. When developing new propositions, their contribution to sustainability is therefore an important consideration.

52% of all Nedappers spend at least 40 hours a year on self-development.
38 h/a of Africa's landscape is regreened in collaboration with Justdiggit.
We have reduced our operational impact to 904 ton carbon dioxide.
98% of all the energy we use at all our offices worldwide is renewable energy.
Sustainability rating
In our ongoing commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices, we are proud to announce that we have earned a silver medal from EcoVadis, a globally recognized provider of business sustainability ratings. This achievement reflects our dedication to environmental, social, and ethical standards in the past year and underscores our remaining commitment to consider what’s best for people and for our planet.
Regreening Africa
Since 2023, Nedap has been a proud partner of JustDiggit, an organization based in Amsterdam dedicated to re-greening Africa. Through our partnership with JustDiggit, we support the revitalization of the Chyulu landscape in Kenya, covering an annual area of 38 hectares.
