What are you going to do?

Nedap Inc. Retail Team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to join the sales team and foster strong customer development in North America.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will play a key role in positioning our solutions strategically, acting as the bridge between technology and commerce, translating complex solutions into clear, actionable value for our clients. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate long sales cycles, engage multiple stakeholders, and drive consensus across various decision-makers.

Your responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Business Development: Identify and engage prospective clients, developing strategic relationships to drive new sales opportunities.
  • Solution Selling: Effectively position our solutions by understanding client needs and presenting practical, scalable technology-driven offerings.
  • Negotiation, Proposal & Deal Closure: Lead contract negotiations and manage the RFP (Request for Proposal) process, ensuring comprehensive and compelling responses that drive successful deal closures. Oversee the journey from pilot projects to full-scale deployment, ensuring a smooth transition for clients.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to ensure revenue growth and achieve or exceed profitability targets.
  • Account Management & Retention: Strengthen relationships with key accounts, implement retention strategies, and maximize client lifetime value.
  • Stakeholder Management: Navigate and manage complex, long-term sales cycles while engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders across client organizations. Drive alignment across decision-makers to ensure successful deal progression and long-term partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, customer success, and technical teams to align solutions with client needs and ensure a seamless sales process.

Required experience and skills

  • Strategic Sales & Negotiation: Strong business acumen and ability to develop sales strategies, lead high-stakes negotiations, and close deals that align with both client needs and company objectives.
  • Project Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to independently plan and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You must have the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives and ensure smooth execution of all project phases.
  • Communication Skills: A strong customer-facing demeanor is a must, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have strong technical presentation skills, effectively engaging stakeholders and translating complex solutions into accessible concepts.
  • Self-Drive and Entrepreneurial Mindset: A hands-on, agile, and solution-oriented approach is essential for thriving in a fast-paced environment. You should exhibit independence and a "go figure it out" mentality, demonstrating the ability to maximize customer satisfaction and drive innovative solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 5-8 years sales experience

Requirements: This is a hybrid role based in Burlington, MA, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days per week. Domestic and international travel (30-40%) is required, including trips to our headquarters in the Netherlands. Candidates must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and be eligible for U.S. employment.
