What are you going to do?
Food connects. Every day in our company restaurant we provide fresh, tasty and conscious meals that energize our colleagues. Do you have a passion for cooking and hospitality? Are you creative in coming up with healthy and sustainable dishes and can you handle pressure? Then you are the chef we are looking for!As a chef in our company restaurant you will provide an inspiring and varied menu, where healthy and conscious choices are paramount. Less sugar, more vegetables and as many sustainable, local ingredients as possible: together with the team you work on a future-proof kitchen in which taste, health and sustainability go hand in hand.
In addition to the daily lunch, you will also provide catering for in-house events and meetings, where you flexibly adapt to extra busy periods and special occasions.
This role is full-time position of 38 hours per week, with room for flexibility during busy times and events. You will work exclusively on weekdays; weekend shifts are not required.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare fresh, healthy and sustainable dishes from soups and salads to sandwiches and hot meals;
- Develop a nutritious and appealing menu with more plant-based options and seasonal produce;
- Buy smart and work efficiently to minimize food waste;
- Stock control and liaise with sustainable suppliers;
- Ensure a hygienic working environment according to HACCP guidelines;
- Supporting catering and corporate events;
- Thinking about new initiatives to make our kitchen even more sustainable and surprising;
- Where necessary you support general activities such as washing up, cleaning and operating the cash register and coffee machines.

Required experience and skills
- A chef with at least 5 years experience in hospitality or catering;
- Creative and innovative in coming up with healthy and sustainable dishes;
- Flexible and stress-resistant: you switch effortlessly between daily lunch and catering assignments;
- A team player who works with colleagues to create a pleasant and welcoming environment;
- Familiar with HACCP and food safety.
