Are you a recently graduated Bachelor or Master student with a commercial background and do you have the drive to become successful in sales? Then the Nedap Commercial Graduate Program is exactly what you need to kick-start your career!

During the 12-month Nedap Commercial Graduate Program, you will learn everything you need to know about the global retail market, our technology solutions and strategic sales. You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience as a sales professional within an international high-tech company. As trainee you will work together with one of our sales professionals and support their commercial activities for brands such as Under Armour, Scotch & Soda, G-Star, PVH, SuperDry, Foot Locker and H&M. This includes preparing presentations, facilitating demonstrations, and in-store visits and demos. Furthermore, themes such as prospecting, sales training and personal development will be central during these 12 months. 

The program starts in October 2023.

Your team

As Commercial Graduate trainee you will be part of the sales team within our market group Retail. This team consists of motivated sales professionals who operate internationally from our headquarters as well as from our focus markets spread across EMEA & North America. The consultative sales approach within Nedap Retail is team driven and strategic accounts are handled jointly. This also means that the team benefits greatly from each other's market knowledge and way of working. Experiences and perspectives are therefore shared with each other on a frequent basis.

We realize that coaching and support in this learning program are crucial for the development and growth of your talent. Therefore, during the program you will receive daily support from one of our international sales professionals, he/she will become your buddy. This is a two-way relationship where you assist the sales professional and in return you will be coached and supported in your daily activities. There is also a general program leader who ensures that the group comes together to learn, reflect and give feedback.

Our offer

As a talent of the Commercial Graduate Program, you will have a paid job with one of our market groups. During the program you will receive, in addition to intensive coaching, salary, vacation pay, a 13th month, profit sharing and the possibility of shares. But above all we invest in your development! 

After a successful year in our Commercial Graduate Program, you will be trained to become one of our global commercial professionals. You will remain part of the Retail sales team. From now on, you will independently conduct strategic consultative sales calls with leading retailers and brands around the world and/or be responsible for a specific geographic region and/or value proposition.

It's possible to fulfill this role in a hybrid way. We expect you to be present at our headquarters in Groenlo 2 to 3 days a week. In addition to the option of working from home, you can also work from our Creative Valley office in Utrecht.

Required experience and skills

For this program, we are looking for a recent bachelor or master student with a commercial and/or business related study background. You are driven to learn and open to coaching and feedback. You have an interest in the Retail sector and find technology interesting. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • You are fluent in English. Should you also speak another language like Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish and/or French that would be an advantage;
  • You have the desire and drive to be successful and become a sales professional;
  • You have a strong agile learning ability with a growth mindset: 
  • You are able and confident to challenge (potential) customers;
  • You are intrinsically curious (want to "figure it out").

About Nedap Retail

Store employees spend a lot of their time searching for products and managing stock. Our RFID technology for article security and in-store inventory management makes it very easy to monitor and control all processes in the store in real time. Employees no longer have to waste time searching for items, meaning they can devote greater attention to customers.
