What are you going to do?
Do you have experience as a Data Engineer and are adept at processing large amounts of data? Do you enjoy working with real-time data from international retail clients such as Hugo Boss, Under Armour and Levi's? Then we have an interesting opportunity for you!As a Data Engineer at Nedap you will work with a variety of data, from inventory and location data to security events and usage statistics of our apps. You will be responsible for processing this data and maintaining and expanding our infrastructure, which includes Kafka, Airflow and AWS tools. You will also contribute to the development of new functionalities in close collaboration with teams such as product management and commerce.
You ensure that complex algorithms function properly, that your colleagues receive the right data and that customers understand the value of new concepts. Your work is diverse: in addition to data infrastructure management, you will also be involved in Data Science, working with the team to develop and implement new ideas.
Your responsibilities
- Automation & monitoring: Automate and monitor data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Data expert: Provide support for new features, projects and pilots.
- Data collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts on complex, data-driven issues;
- Data insights: Ensuring reliable data for colleagues within Nedap Retail.
Your team
You as Data Engineer will be part of the iD Cloud Integrations & Data Analytics team, which consists of experts in integration, data analytics, data engineering and software development. Together with your team and an assigned buddy, we'll make sure you quickly feel at home at Nedap. Required experience and skills
You are communicatively strong and enjoy working with colleagues from different disciplines. Independence and taking initiative come naturally to you as Data Engineer. In addition, you like to look beyond data engineering and actively think about related areas.In addition, you have:
- Experience: At least 1 year of work experience as a Data Engineer;
- Skills: Experience with Python and Pandas;
- Language skills: Good command of the English language; Dutch is a plus;
- Nice to have: Experience with Kafka, Airflow and Spark is a plus.
