You as a Data Scientist will get the opportunity to create models based on data from visual sensors. You understand the reality of dealing with imperfect references and ensure the best approach will be taken to achieve the desired goal. You work alongside a team of Computer Vision Engineer specialists that will deploy, validate, and reiterate frequently. You assess the performance and advise on course changes to ensure the teams efforts are spend on the right tasks. Ultimately leading to solutions that raise the level of animal health globally.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments and evaluations to assess the performance of computer vision algorithms and propose enhancements for improved accuracy and efficiency;
- Analyze, preprocess, and curate large datasets for computer vision training and evaluation purpose;
- Develop and implement machine learning models to derive actionable insights from complex data sets;
- Collaborate with software engineers to deploy and integrate data analytics and visualization capabilities into our software applications;
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and computer vision research.
Your team
The Innovation team within Nedap Livestock Management identifies market opportunities and builds new concepts based on upcoming technologies. We test our hypotheses as quickly as possible by building prototypes to validate technical and business assumptions. Required experience and skills
You have no problem working independently. As part of the Innovation team, you are doing a lot of pioneering, so self-reliance is important. You are good at going from concept to prototype. So thinking it out, being creative and being able to put it into practice. This also means that you can switch well between speed and quality depending on the issue. In addition, you have good communication skills to be able to communicate within the team, but also to find other colleagues within the organization.Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Data Scientist;
- You have a completed university education, preferably towards Computer Science, Data Science or similar;
- You have mastered Python and have experience with revelant libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch);
- You have knowledge of data mining and machine learning technique. And are familiar with computer vision concepts algorithms and deep learning frameworks;
- You are fluent in English and preferably also in Dutch.
You are 32-38 available and live in the Netherlands. A hybrid form of working is possible.
