What are you going to do?
The digital files of hundreds of thousands of clients in the Netherlands are maintained in Ons Dossier and you can work on making this digital file a lot more user-friendly, accessible and better every day.Underwater Ons Dossier consists of multiple applications developed and maintained by a large team. There is a Ruby on Rails application with a partially static frontend with React and Vue components. At the same time, we are working on the next-generation health record, already partially in use, on OpenEHR with a React and Vue frontend.
Your responsibilities
- Development: Develop new features and maintain the applications;
- Collaboration: Working closely with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create high-quality and user-friendly interfaces;
- Initiative: Immersing yourself in the lifeworld of healthcare providers and thinking up and implementing small improvements to the applications on your own initiative;
- Rotation: Participate in a (rotating) on-call service, to support our support department and resolve failures;
- Code and processes: Code review and continuous improvement of our codebase, and work processes;
- Exchange knowledge: Transfer your expertise to colleagues and promote knowledge exchange.
Your team
As a Frontend Developer at Our Dossier, you are part of the Dossier team, with colleagues from the Netherlands and around the world, whom you talk to on a daily basis. In rotation, the team ensures the continuous availability of the application (in cooperation with a specialist infrastructure team), maintenance and bug fixing. You will also work in rotating project teams to develop new features and improvements for users. This can be both a guiding, as well as a supporting role. Required experience and skills
- Motivation: Motivated to build user-friendly, accessible and technically high-quality frontends;
- Customer Contact: Motivated to connect with customers and delve into the user's work context and lifestyle;
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience as a professional software developer;
- Frontend Frameworks: Experience with React and/or Vue, or extensive experience with other frontend frameworks and willing to learn React and Vue;
- Domains and Technologies: You are not afraid to delve into new domains or technologies and look beyond the boundaries of codebases and teams to achieve your goals;
- Transfer Knowledge: Team spirit, willingness to transfer your knowledge and learn from others;
- Level: HBO/WO working and thinking level;
- Language: Professional command of English (in contact with colleagues) and Dutch (in contact with customers and user);
- Onsite: Ability to work at our office in Groenlo several times a month (or more often).
