Do you get excited by simplifying healthcare processes using the latest techniques and standardised interfaces? Do you like discussing with team members, customers and standardization organizations to make the best possible choices and implementations? If so, being a software developer at Nedap Healthcare would fit you perfectly!
With increasing collaborations between (care)organizations, legislation that demands more and more on exchanging information as well as new customer requests, exchanging information with third parties is a hot topic in the healthcare sector. That is why Nedap Healthcare has several teams working on this subject to better support our customers.
One of these teams is fully dedicated on securing and exposing APIs for third parties. This team deals with the process from third-party submission to deployment on staging and production environments.
By unlocking the APIs, it is possible for our customers to make integrations with other systems that they depend on to deliver the right care at the right time. These solutions can be very diverse, such as an on-call service solution or document upload into the client dossier from a fax system.
Two other teams focus on exchanging information between different care organizations. This amongst others, means exchanging messages about labresults or a patient referral from a general practitioner ending up in the dossier of a patient. Besides messaging, also care insight is a topic that is being worked on. With the right consents a general practitioner is able to look in a patient his/her dossier from the home care. Or the other way around, the healthcare staff from the home care being able to look in the patient dossier from the general practitioner.
By creating, extending and supporting our products and services we prefer to use (inter)national standards, e.g., HL7FHIR and ZIBs (Health and Care Information Model or ''Zorg Information Bouwsteen'' in Dutch) for the data layer and open source software like Nuts for the required infrastructure.
To extend and support our team we are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer with a love for challenging (software) problems who is able to provide us with a fresh look!
The team also works with scrum. We like to keep the lines short, also between the teams, and we like to keep things informal where possible. Due to continuous changes in healthcare with new partnerships, you will regularly visit customers or other software suppliers.
Obviously, we offer excellent primary and secondary conditions. You are responsible for your own working hours and holidays. Nobody keeps track, as we rely on your own accountability. Moreover, we offer you the means to fulfil your own responsibilities. We also have a good financial arrangement. Nedap does not only offer you a salary and holiday allowance, but also an annual bonus, dividends, and the option of shares. Moreover, we have a very interesting pension arrangement. But most of all, we invest in your development! Nedap takes your development very seriously. We offer an extensive introduction program and a personal development journey, and we will gladly look at your potential with you.
Required experience and skills
We are looking for a senior software developer who also likes to be a sparring partner for our team. Working on both frontend and backend is no problem for you. Learning new languages or frameworks is something you see as a challenge. Having experience with the Dutch health care system and being familiar with the programming languages and frameworks we work with is a big plus!
