As a Hardware Engineer you are looking for the best hardware solutions for intelligent wireless and low-power sensors, readers and controllers in our innovative automation solutions for the livestock industry. Together with your colleagues you ensure that the platform and the electronics products for this are continuously expanded and renewed.
You will be involved in designing electronics, such as:
- Drafting specs, designing circuits and making component choices;
- Making electrical schematics, parts lists and possibly PCB layout;
- Tuning of manufacturability;
- Help determine test strategies in production;
- Validating proto- and 0-series electronics.
As a Hardware Engineer you have a lot of contact with different colleagues within the market group. You are also involved in products from A to Z, but the best part is seeing the product being used in the field.' (Dick, Hardware Engineer)
Your team
In the CowControl development team at Livestock Management Dairy you work together with fellow hardware engineers, (embedded) software developers, mechanical engineers, product owners and test engineers. Our innovative products are developed in multidisciplinary teams.

Required experience and skills
You are pragmatic and problem solving. Creative and decisive, you look for the best solution. It is also important that you have good communication skills and the power of persuasion.
- You have experience in a similar position as Hardware Engineer;
- A completed HBO or WO education, preferably in the direction of Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems;
- You have experience with wired and wireless communication;
- It is an advantage if you have affinity with digital signal processing and embedded software.
