Full-stack Java Engineer
- Groenlo
- Healthcare
What are you going to do?
As a Full-stack Java Engineer, you will join a young and dynamic team working on the product Ons Administratie within the Back Office tribe of Nedap Healthcare. Ons Administratie serves as the financial and administrative core of healthcare organizations, aiming to simplify increasingly complex administrative tasks for our clients. This results in more efficient healthcare administration and improved care delivery.
At its core, Ons Administratie is responsible for managing client and employee records, delivered care, reporting, and financial and administrative integrations. The application is widely used, has a significant reach, and serves as a data source for many other applications both within and outside Nedap Healthcare. The application is complex and features a seamless combination of front-end, back-end, and integrations with other systems.
Your role as a Software Engineer within the team is highly varied, offering many different aspects that might appeal to you. For instance, you could tackle a technical challenge, rewrite and improve existing software, or explore how to implement changes. You will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility for a specific component or project. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams. To gain firsthand experience of how clients use our product, client visits are encouraged.
Your responsibilities
- You design and implement functionalities that fit the work process of healthcare providers and administrative users. In doing so, you sometimes dive into complex issues to arrive at the best solution and work on both the backend and front-end;
- You make strategic technical decisions for complex problems and lead the design and architecture of new systems;
- You collaborate with team members from different disciplines and share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the team;
- You communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to translate technical requirements into workable solutions;
- You have knowledge of the domain, your team and tribe's products, and the users of your software
- You are a front-runner within the team for some of the larger topics, being the point of contact for that topic, setting the big picture and identifying issues to work on.
Your team
As the CRM team, we play a crucial role in managing the flow of (personal) data for clients and employees. There is a strong emphasis on user experience and the security of sensitive data. The back end is built with Java and MySQL, while the front end is transitioning from JSF to Vue.js. We work with Scrum and continuously deliver software.
Within the team, you will collaborate with other teams both inside and outside the tribe, as well as with the product owner, project lead, and tribe lead. Our team enjoys a diverse mix of ages, experience levels, and areas of focus.
We work both from our beautiful green office in Groenlo and from home. Some of your team, tribe, and organization colleagues even work fully remotely. However, we value regular in-person gatherings at the office, where we can sit together, share ideas, and enjoy a walk during the lunch break.
Our offer
As a Full-stack Java Engineer at Nedap, you will make a meaningful contribution to our mission: helping people become happier and more successful in their professional lives. We offer an above-market-average salary based on your background and experience. In addition, you are entitled to a 13th-month bonus, a solid pension plan, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a Nedap shareholder.
At Nedap, trust and autonomy are at the heart of everything we do. You will have the freedom to set your own working hours and vacation days. We also place a high value on personal and professional growth. You'll receive a comprehensive onboarding program, and we actively encourage you to continue developing yourself throughout your career.
