We are searching for a Natural Language Processing (NLP) / Large Language Model (LLM) Specialist to join our newly forming team that is working on an innovative product with a strong focus on generative AI. As an NLP/LLM Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing and optimizing state-of-the-art language models within our new product, designed to support healthcare workers in their logistical challenges.
This role offers ample room for exploration and innovation, where you will discover and implement novel ways to put language models into practice. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including a UX designer/researcher and software developers, to collectively create a successful product. This demands a flexible, iterative approach, with plenty of space for rapid prototyping and experimental applications.

Your team
Your team is a multidisciplinary product team within the Data Science group. The team consists of a UX designer/researcher and software developers with various specializations. You will be building a new product from scratch, where the team itself is responsible for using an iterative, exploratory process to discover how to leverage new technologies like generative AI and conversational agents to support healthcare workers with logistical challenges. In the long term, the experiences and insights gained from this product will form the basis for applying these advanced technologies across all of our products. You can also apply your knowledge more broadly within the Data Science group, allowing you to contribute not only to exploratory work but also to improving or expanding existing solutions.

Required experience and skills
- You have a strong technical background, preferably in computer science, machine learning, data science, AI, or a related field.
- You have demonstrated experience with DevOps and MLOps.
- You have experience in setting up and maintaining machine learning infrastructure, including data pipelines and modeling.
- You are familiar with containerization (such as Docker) and orchestration tools (we use Nomad).
- You have experience with programming languages like Python and are familiar with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools.
- Experience with tools like LangChain and open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) like LLaMA is a plus.
- You are curious, eager to learn, and always looking for ways to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
