Nedap Retail is a market group within Nedap that develops innovative solutions for retailers worldwide. With our solutions for article security and stock management, we ensure that retailers always have the right products easily available to their customers. By developing our own hardware, we are able to design our products in such a way that they are perfect for solving our customers' current problems, but also flexible enough to still add relevant functionalities in a few years' time.

As an RF Engineer you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art RF, RFID hardware and cloud-based software services. You will work with the latest technologies related to RFID. Furthermore, you are actively involved in making the right component choices and in creating the schematic and layout. Because our products are used worldwide, certification and the associated EMC requirements play an important role in the design work. In addition, you will participate in the development of a new platform and the products based on it.

Your team

You will be working in the Devices team of our R&D department. This is a relatively large, multidisciplinary team, in which sub-teams exist of firmware, hardware and product engineers. In your daily work you work a lot with a small team of hardware engineers, but the lines to firmware and product engineering are always very short. Assertiveness, resourcefulness and a positive critical attitude are important core values.

Our offer

We offer excellent primary and secondary employment conditions. You are responsible for your own working hours and vacations. Nobody keeps track of this, we rely on your own responsibility. In addition, we offer you the means to fulfill your responsibilities. Financially too, things are well arranged here. In addition to your salary and vacation allowance, Nedap offers a 13th month, a profit-sharing scheme and the option of shares. We also have a very attractive pension arrangement. But above all, we invest in your development! Nedap does not have a strict budget for your development. In addition to our extensive induction programme and personal development programme, we would like to explore your potential with you.

Required experience and skills

You have completed an HBO or WO education in the field of electrical engineering and at least 5 years of work experience. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • You are good at making electronic schematics and designing print layouts;
  • You are able to keep the overview in complex product design phases and know how to distill a suitable design from this.
  • You have experience in designing and implementing UHF radios and components and measuring antenna characteristics.
  • In addition, you see a challenge in keeping the balance between performance, price, and energy consumption.

You get satisfaction in delivering quality work and you enjoy continuing to develop and deepen your knowledge.
