RF Hardware Engineer

As a passionate RF Hardware Engineer you will be involved in the development of RFID technology in our innovative automation solutions for the livestock industry. Within these solutions individual animal identification through RFID technology in the LF, HF, UHF and SHF frequency bands is the common thread. 

Your duties will include:

  • Drafting technical product specifications;
  • Designing RF electronics (especially analog, but also digital circuits);
  • Making component choices and taking care of BOM;
  • Making electrical schematics;
  • Directing layout work;
  • Drafting production test instructions;
  • Validating proto- and 0-series electronics;
  • And fine-tuning manufacturability. 

In short, as a RF Hardware Engineer you make a creative contribution to product development within our Livestock Management market group. You know how to convert your theoretical knowledge into good ideas and products that meet the needs of our customers. In addition, you will occasionally travel abroad for your work. 

Your team

You will be working in the R&D team of Nedap Livestock Management. This is a multidisciplinary team of (embedded) software developers, hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, product owners and test engineers who work together on a project basis.

Required experience and skills

You have a completed WO Master's degree in the field of Electrical Engineering. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have knowledge of RF technology and understand the operation of RF transmitters and receivers;
  • You are familiar with EM simulations and designing antennas in for example Microwave studio;
  • You have experience with EMC requirements; 
  • You have excellent communication skills and are a solid communicator;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language;
  • You are creative, enterprising, proactive, analytical and accurate.
