By developing our own hardware, we are able to design our products in such a way that they perfectly solve the current problems of our customers, but are also flexible enough to add relevant functionalities for the years to come. For example, the core of our platform consists of a System-on-Chip with both an FPGA and a CPU. For the radio we use an external reader IC and use this to make our own implementation to arrive at our solution.
At the moment we are investigating a new processing platform including a new radio. This will be the building block that will be used to set up a whole new product line. In the role of RFID hardware engineer you will help develop this new platform and the products based on it. You are actively involved in making the right component choices and in creating the schematic and layout. Because of worldwide application of our products, certification and the associated EMC requirements play an important role in the design work. For more information about our products, please visit our website: nedap-retail.com.
You will be working in the Devices team of our R&D department. This is a multidisciplinary team, in which sub-teams exist of firmware, hardware and product engineers. The hardware team consists of 4 enthusiastic developers with different areas of expertise. There is always a close collaboration with firmware and product engineering such that we have a smoothly working Devices team that delivers state-of-the-art products. Assertiveness, resourcefulness and a positive critical attitude are appreciated.
Obviously, we offer excellent primary and secondary conditions. You are responsible for your own working hours and holidays. Nobody keeps track, as we rely on your own accountability. Moreover, we offer you the means to fulfil your own responsibilities. We also have a good financial arrangement. Nedap does not only offer you a salary and holiday allowance, but also an annual bonus, dividends, and the option of shares. Moreover, we have a very interesting pension arrangement. But most of all, we invest in your development! Nedap takes your development very seriously. We offer an extensive introduction program and a personal development journey, and we will gladly look at your potential with you.
