Nedap Livestock Management is the worldwide market leader in the automation of stall processes on the basis of electronic individual animal identification. For our innovative automation solutions, new applications in the Cloud, Fog or Edge are developed and launched continuously. In our IoT environment we ensure that animal behaviour, such as eating times and food intake, measured by for instance our wearables, are converted into relevant information for the stockbreeder and that processes are automated.

In the position of Software Developer you are closely involved with the design process of the application, where you ensure prefect implementation of the demands of the stockbreeder. In addition you will be responsible, together with the team, for a future-proof and maintainable architecture of the applications. You will develop at both front end and back end level.

As a Software Developer at Livestock Management work in an inspiring environment. You get the chance to make a difference by taking the initiative yourself. The software team of Nedap Livestock management consists of software developers, supplemented by product owners, test engineers and UX designers. Within the software team, sub teams are working on applications in the Cloud, Fog or Edge. The tasks of the sub teams are closely interwoven. The software team has a multidisciplinary nature.

Required experience and skills

You have a completed a Computer Science degree (higher professional education or university education) and you have at least 2 years of work experience.
Furthermore, you recognise yourself in the following:
  • You have experience with an object-oriented language;
  • You have an interest in .NET and would like to explore it further;
  • Experience with Azure is an advantage, but interest is a must;
  • You have good communication skills and are not afraid to discuss complex issues;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages.
