As a Technical Support Engineer you are, together with the team, responsible for the quality of our services to our business partners and customers. As a Technical Support Engineer you are part of the 1st line and 2nd line support desk. This means you will investigate and answer questions and problems regarding our apps, web application or hardware. You are constantly working to increase the self-reliance of our business partners and customers. You will do this by improving our knowledge base through FAQ's, guidelines, videos etc.

You will have frequent contact with customers at different levels and you will work closely with our developers to answer the questions of our business partners and customers. Recognizing patterns and connections in these questions is necessary to determine how we can further improve our services. Besides these tasks you are also responsible for the implementation and technical rollout of new projects at our customers.

As a Technical Support Engineer you are co-responsible for developing and updating your own knowledge of our software solutions and our extensive reader portfolio. You do this by testing new functionalities and providing input for their documentation.

Your team

In the role of Technical Support Engineer you will be part of an energetic technical team. The team in which you will be working consists of people who work from our campus in Groenlo. In addition, you are part of an international support team with colleagues in different countries. You will work closely together with colleagues from various disciplines such as proposition management, sales and R&D to help our business partners and customers quickly and adequately.

In the team, we find it important that you are an open colleague with good communication skills. Nedap is a flat organisation and therefore offers a lot of freedom in your work and planning. This makes self-reliance and personal responsibility very important.

Required experience and skills

In addition, you are or have:

  • HBO work and thinking level;
  • Experience in giving support;
  • Communicative skills and you know how to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the matter;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Hands-on mentality;
  • Affinity with IT infrastructures (networks, software and hardware);
  • Initiator;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, command of the German and/or French language is an advantage.
