UX Design Strategist

As a User Experience (UX) Design Strategist you are responsible for creating an optimal user experience of the products you work on. You regularly speak to end users and share new insights and recommendations with your teams. You map out work processes of healthcare professionals and translate your insights into ideas, concepts and new project proposals. You create wireframes, prototypes, or other materials you need in your communication to stakeholders. You evaluate your designs and improvements with users. You form your own vision, communicate it to the group and inspire others to participate. As an experienced UX Designer, you also think about product development on a strategic and conceptual level. 

Within Nedap Healthcare we work within so-called tribes. Each tribe contains multiple products and processes that support one main process in healthcare. During planning sessions of your tribe, you articulate the voice of our users and help your priorities gain focus. You participate in taking UX Design at Nedap Healthcare to a higher level, partly by sharing your UX skills, passion and enthusiasm and share them to your colleagues.


Your team

UX Designers at Nedap Healthcare work in a tribe as well as in a central UX Design team. In the back office tribe you will mainly deal with financial and administrative issues. You work closely together with software developers and colleague UX Designers, but also with our support department, commercial colleagues and brand designers. The UX Design team works in four-weekly sprints. You can also define and pick up projects that are outside your normal focus. We work in pairs on major topics, so that together we can make an even more positive impact in the world of healthcare.

Required experience and skills

We are looking for someone who can make a strong case for the needs of users, a multidisciplinary UX Designer with a feel for research, interaction design and product management. You are open to the visions and feedback of others and are eager to learn, independent and driven to develop yourself further. Like us, you believe that everyone in the organization contributes to the user experience and that collaboration is the key to a pleasant and inspiring working atmosphere.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably with product UX and/or B2B software, and a completed WO/HBO education. Knowledge of administrative and financial processes is an asset. 
  • You are eager to get to know our users and offer them the best possible support in their daily work. 
  • You are able to think along on a strategic and conceptual level and improve the product experience. 
  • You have affinity with product management, and like to think along in setting priorities. 
  • You have a strong analytical ability, and can quickly see through complex processes. 
  • You have your own view and know how to communicate this with your communication skills (textual, verbal, visual). 
  • With your solutions you seamlessly connect to the needs and perceptions of our users, preferably before they even know they need it. 
  • You are familiar with usability heuristics, relevant HCI literature, and best practices in UX. 
  • You have a good command of Dutch and English.
