UX Designer / Researcher

  • Location Groenlo
  • Business unit Healthcare

As a User Experience (UX) Designer / Researcher you are responsible for the creation of the ultimate user experience of the products you are working on. You understand the chances that mobile devices offer within healthcare. How can we help care providers and organisations to lower their administrative burden, so that they save time for providing high-quality care? Regularly, you talk with end-users and you share new insights and recommendations with your team. You map the workflows of care professionals and you translate your findings into new ideas and technical concepts. Sharing your ideas and creations to your colleagues is one of your strong suits. To this goal you create wireframes, end-user journeys, prototypes, and other materials. Together with your end-users and colleagues you improve these concepts and prototypes. As part of UX design within Nedap Healthcare you lift the overall level of user experience design, partly by bringing in knowlegde and skills in the area of designing for mobile. You share your passion and enthusiasm for UX with your colleagues. This way, we can have an even greater impact on healthcare.

Your team

UX designers at Nedap Healthcare work in a tribe or focus team that is centered towards a technology or specific challenge. In addition, you will be part of a central UX team, consisting of 13 UX specialists. UX designer Koen will introduce you into the UX techniques that we use at Nedap. And then you will work with the mobile focus team. Together with Lex (the Head of Mobile) you will map the workflows of the ONS suite end-users, in order to identify opportunities for mobile. This means that you can be found with our customers and end-users often.

As UX designer / researcher, you are the linking pin in the company: you work closely with our software developers and the other UX designers, but also with our support department, commercial colleagues, and brand designers. All these people you meet in our office in Groenlo or via Zoom when you are working from home. Working within these teams imply a love for working multidisciplinary and in a collaborative manner, but also that you show a lot of initiative.

But there is more than work alone. Working at Nedap also means taking the time to cool down with your team and colleagues while having drinks, playing boardgames during games-nights, competing in the annual football tournament, or playing a game of Magic after working hours. Every hobby is catered for!

Our offer

We find it important to offer our talents the best working conditions. This means that, in addition to an excellent reward package, you get the freedom to spend your time in such a way that you get the most out of yourself and what you do. We don't keep track of holidays - you decide when you need a break!

We organize the financial part of your package just as well. In addition to your salary and holiday pay, Nedap offers a 13th month, a profit sharing scheme, the option of participating in stock shares and an attractive pension scheme.

But above all, we invest in your personal development! Nedap takes your development very seriously. We do not give you a development budget, but we make sure that you get everything you need to develop yourself in the direction you want. We offer an extensive introduction program and a personal development process in which we look at your potential to grow within Nedap.

Required experience and skills

We are looking for someone who wants to combine a passion for UX and mobile technology, and wants to advocate the needs of end-users; a multidisciplinary UX expert with feeling for research and interaction design.

Do you recognise yourself in these points:

  • You have ample working experience in and knowledge of mobile / service design.
  • You are confident in what you do, you have a personal vision on UX and you know how to convey it, using strong communicational skills (textually, verbally, visually), but you also know how to integrate your vision and ideas with those of others.
  • You master the English and Dutch language.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch healthcare system is a bonus.

But not in these:

  • You close yourself up in your room for months in order to work out an idea;
  • You rather evade a discussion.
