UX/UI Designer
  • Location Groenlo
  • Business unit Retail

As a User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) Designer in our Retail market group, you are responsible for the design of digital products within our iD Cloud proposition. In doing so, you will work on mobile apps and (data-driven) dashboards for inventory management and theft prevention, among other things. Because you do this from the first exploratory research, to the elaboration of the final design, you have a lot of impact on the look and feel of our products. And most importantly: during this process you are the representative of the end user for our products.

In your daily work you turn ideas for new products and features into reality and you bring the design of the current applications to a higher level. You listen to the wishes and requirements of retailers, store personnel and installers, and you map out their processes. You know how to translate these processes into wireframes, mockups or high-fidelity designs, which you then validate with usability tests.

Your team

The Services team is an enthusiastic group of colleagues with different backgrounds, from development to design. Here, you will take place in the front-end team and work closely with the UX Designer. You will work in an inspiring and international environment where you can make the difference by taking the initiative. Self-reliance and personal responsibility are of paramount importance to us. This means that you will search for knowledge and solutions yourself and will be given the space to do so. The 'culture' in our department and within our team can best be described as free, open and social. Furthermore, we regularly have drinks or an outing and besides all the hard work there is also plenty room for laughter.

Our offer

Of course we offer excellent primary and secondary conditions. You are responsible for your own working hours and vacations. Nobody keeps track of this, we rely on your own responsibility. In addition, we offer you the means to fulfill your responsibilities. Financially too, things are well arranged here. In addition to your salary and vacation allowance, Nedap offers a 13th month, a profit-sharing scheme and the option of shares. We also have a very attractive pension scheme. But above all, we invest in your development! Nedap does not have a pot for your development. In addition to our extensive induction programme and personal development programme, we would like to explore your potential with you.

Required experience and skills

You are our match if you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • You have an (applied) university intellectual level in the field of (product) design;
  • You are looking for a junior position or you have a few years of work experience;
  • You are familiar with best practices in the field of user experience and interface design;
  • You can switch quickly and are good at keeping an overview. You are not a small cog in a big wheel, but may apply your expertise to a wide range of tasks;
  • You have good communication skills, among others towards our international customers, but also in collaboration with the development teams;
  • You are enthusiastic about immersing yourself in the needs and experiences of our customers and users;
  • You know how to convert these insights into user-friendly interface design and enjoy working with prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, or similar;
  • You have written and oral skills in English and Dutch.
