What are you going to do?
Do you want to use your .NET / C# experience to contribute to the introduction of our new Vision technology? Then read our vacancy for .NET Developer.
As a .NET Developer, you will contribute to the introduction of Vision technology in dairy farms around the world. We are expanding our platform with smart, scalable solutions that help farmers monitor cows using video footage. We use self-developed edge devices to receive and process raw sensor and video data, which is then processed in the cloud into actionable insights for farmers and veterinarians.
You will develop various new applications that together form the pipeline to transform raw sensor data into meaningful insights. You will implement the algorithms developed by the Computer Vision Expert in your team.
Tech stack
The tech stack you’ll be working with involves both edge devices and cloud systems. Our teams are early adopters of new technologies. It's not uncommon for cloud systems to be updated on the same day a new .NET version is released. On the edge, a slimmed-down Linux version runs containerized apps developed by you. The cloud platform is hosted in multiple Azure regions and makes use of a wide range of services. We have automated our software deployment both on the edge and in the cloud. The platform already processes millions of incoming messages daily, with the ambition to scale this up exponentially in the coming years.
Your responsibilities
- Development: Build scalable and maintainable software components for edge and cloud with a strong focus on performance and reliability.
-
Test automation: Everything you build includes automated tests.
-
Monitoring: You ensure insights into application behavior and continuously improve the system based on those insights.

Your team
As a .NET Developer, you will be part of the new “Vision Insights” team. A new technology has been developed within our Innovation team, and you will bring this to the next phase together with other teams and a Computer Vision Expert. The “Vision Insights” team is a multidisciplinary team focused on further developing computer vision algorithms, building and maintaining software applications, managing data pipelines, and ensuring system quality and reliability.
You will collaborate closely with the Computer Vision Expert in your team and regularly interact with other teams and disciplines within R&D. The teams focus on software for both farmers in the dairy industry and our business partners worldwide. Our aim is to continuously improve life on the farm. The teams are multidisciplinary and work according to our Agile way of working. There is a continuous flow of new features based on our own insights and customer feedback.
