What are you going to do?
As a Frontend Developer within the MediKIT team, you’ll be working on transforming general practitioner care in the Netherlands. You develop innovative solutions for our general practitioner information system (HIS), MediKIT, which is fully based on open standards like HL7 FHIR. Using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, and Overmind, you’ll build user-friendly and efficient applications that have a direct impact on the daily workflows of general practices.
You’ll be working within a microservices architecture and collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and domain experts. In doing so, you contribute to improving both healthcare delivery and the working experience of healthcare professionals.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you’ll have plenty of freedom to make an impact within a close-knit and ambitious team. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as:

Frontend development: Building and maintaining modern frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and Overmind within a microservices architecture;

UX translation: Translating complex interaction patterns into user-friendly and efficient user interfaces;

Collaboration: Working closely with UX designers, backend developers, and domain experts;

Architecture: Contributing to technical decisions and helping shape the architecture and scalability of our platform;

Innovation: Actively contributing to an open and learning-oriented team culture with lots of room for initiative.

Your team
As a Frontend Developer, you’ll be part of the MediKIT team: a multidisciplinary group of thirteen experts with a shared mission to innovate general practitioner care. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Nedap Healthcare and benefit from the expertise and growth opportunities offered by the wider Nedap organization. The team mainly works remotely, with regular in-person meetups at our offices in Groenlo, Utrecht, or Nijmegen.

Required experience and skills
As a Frontend Developer, you play a key role in the success of the MediKIT team. You know exactly how to translate technical complexity into practical simplicity. You work in a structured way, think proactively, and are not afraid to take initiative.
You’ll also recognize yourself in the following:

Experience: At least 7 years of experience developing frontend applications;

Tech skills: Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React;

Design: Experience implementing designs using HTML and CSS;

Team player: You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and have strong communication skills;

FHIR: Experience with FHIR is a plus, but not a must.
Good to know: You’re available for 32 to 38 hours per week. Hybrid (remote) work is common at Nedap, and together with your team, you coordinate your working hours to maintain a healthy work-life balance. You regularly meet at one of our offices in Groenlo, Nijmegen, or Utrecht.
